Help universities build sensory laboratories
University laboratory is an important base for personnel training, teaching and scientific research, a sign that reflects the level of university teachers, scientific research and management, and a cradle for the birth of new knowledge, new technology, new methods and new achievements. In the laboratory, it is necessary to achieve the goal of maximizing the conversion of theoretical knowledge into practical ability, but also to consider many conditions such as space size, energy consumption, and operation safety. Therefore, the choice of experimental equipment is very important.
We take electronic tongue, a key experimental equipment in university laboratories, as an example. Japan's INSENT taste sensing system (electronic tongue) uses artificial lipid membrane sensor technology similar to the working principle of human tongue taste cells, which can objectively and digitally evaluate the bitterness, astringency, sour, salty, umami, sweet and other basic taste sensory indicators of food or medicine samples. At the same time, it can also analyze bitter aftertaste, astringent aftertaste and fresh aftertaste (richness), which is the artificial intelligence taste recognition equipment at the forefront of science and technology. Here we share the electronic tongue research laboratories of several well-known universities:
Sichuan Modern Industry Research Institute of China Agricultural University
Foshan University
College of Agriculture of Guizhou University
